Event Description:
Speaker: Dr. Irena Sailer
The case presentation encompasses a full mouth rehabilitation of a 46-year old male patient who presented at the university clinic seeking general treatment and esthetic improvement of his anterior teeth. The patient was healthy, did not take any medication, but smoked about 10 cigarettes a day. One of the patient’s chief complaints was poor esthetics of his fixed restorations. Poor adaptation of the crowns with over-contoured margins made it very difficult for the patient to properly clean the restorations, leading to generalized gingivitis. The patient’s second wish was to receive fixed dental restoration.
Upon completion of this session, attendees should be able to:
• Understand how to approach complex full-mouth rehabilitation cases, including initial documentation, the decision making regarding doubtful teeth and selection of the natural abutment tooth vs. dental implant, pre-treatment diagnostics, and transferring the treatment plan into the clinical rehabilitation.
• Understand digital technologies for the respective treatment phases, as well as the selection of restorative material and technology in esthetic fixed full-mouth rehabilitation.
